Reflections

During my undergrad years in Chicago, I created this large painting inspired by everyday sights—like the waving streamers at a used car lot nearby. It zooms in on a chain-link fence, turning something familiar but often overlooked into the main focus. I played with light and the raw texture of dripping acrylic to capture that moment, showing some of the early ideas that still influence how I paint today. This piece, Reflections, reminds me that growing as an artist is a slow journey shaped by curiosity, time, and passion.
